Websphere MQ v7.1 has a new capability that allows you to define TCP Wrappers type information to restrict who can connect to channels from where. This looks like the old BlockIP2 supportpak type capability, but it is a supported part of the product. Messaging security at my company is going to get more important, not less in the future. I want to know more about how this works. I will probably be installing a couple of v7.1 queue managers soon.
