Does this sound like you? Fill out this handy checklist:
- Okay so you've heard of Cloud computing, right? - check!
- You’re interested in cloud computing - check!
- You’ve been hunting / gathering more information about cloud computing - check!
- You are also wondering when if how to make a commitment to cloud and the implications - check!
- You want to learn what emerging technologies enable cloud computing? - check!
- You are concerned about your data i.e. what data should be used in a private or public cloud? - check!
- You're asking yourself, "how complex is it really to integrate cloud(s) with my on-premise applications? - check!

Wow, there is a lot to consider, right? Luckily we've been thinking about this cloud stuff, and have been hard at work on solid solutions, for a while now. Solutions to help you develop an efficient and robust cloud infrastructure. You can find the answers to all of these questions, and still more you haven't thought of, by joining several IBM WebSphere cloud experts for a 4-week series of events in September.
The kick off webcast is on September 7th at 11AM EDT and it's easy to register to attend. After this, every couple of days for a month, IBM will feature new webcasts, podcasts and online jam sessions to discuss every aspect of Cloud computing. The topics planned will span strategy, hardware, hypervisors, software, and development. We are calling these the "Building Blocks" sessions. These deep-dive discussions will explore deploying applications and application infrastructure into a private cloud, elastic data management in the cloud and designing different types of applications for the cloud.
To get started, register for the events you are interested in on the current GWC Monthly Focus page: “Enabling Cloud Computing with WebSphere”.
You should know these events are sponsored by your Global WebSphere Community and our IBM Smart Work Program. We appreciate their support.
Lastly, you can connect with WebSphere technical evangelists from the WebSphere Emerge team on our My DeveloperWorks community, Twitter and Facebook. You can find more information about cloud and other emerging technology in your preferred, way easy to consume, way.
Cheers,
Ryan
