Currently, users must access the individual threads within a forum and subsequenly request notifications when the thread is updated.  While this functionality is great, it requires users to check in multiple times a day to see if there's anything new posted to the forums.

Is there any way to subscribe to an entire forum for NEW ROOT threads?  What I'm requesting is a setting that enables us to recieve an email any time a user creates an entirely new thread in the forum.  Just one initial e-mail with the same basic information we get today if we subscribe to a thread.

Once the initial e-mail is sent, it would then be up to the user to access the thread for review and determine if they'd like to receive updates any time the thread is updated, as they do today.

I'd, frankly, stop there with the subscription to a forum.  I'd hate to get flooded with updates for every single thread on the forum as they would quickly lose their context (which thread was this update for and did I care...)

The end result is that the user base who wishes to try and help out (actively,)  can keep up to date on new requests.

Hopefully the GWC developers can figure out how to do this!

Thanks,
Erik

Hi Erik -- Great suggestion, thanks!  Let me check with our technical team to see if this is something that is available.  I will reply back when I get an answer.  Thank you!
