We unfortunately can't pre-screen members as they join the site, so we will see a few spammers every now and then. Should you receive a spam email message, please flag it by clicking the Report button at the top of the email:

If you see spam content, please flag it by clicking the Flag icon:

This will generate a notification to the administration team that there is a spammer on the site, and we will take appropriate actions to suspend their activity.

To avoid getting spam messages
To prevent people you don't know from sending you messages, log in to your GWC account and click the My GWC link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.  Click on the Privacy Settings link in the Profile menu. This can be found in the Explore Member box on the left-hand side of the screen.  For the first privacy setting, click the radio button next to "Allow Messages from network colleagues only".  This will prevent anyone who is not on your Network Colleagues list from sending you an email.
