Sometimes it can be very difficult to identify a specific user because they don't have a picture and all you can see is a first name. This is not such a problem if the user has a very unique name - or other unique identifiers in their profile. If there is one feature that I would ask for, it is to display both FIRST and LAST names. In the very least if a user is concerned about privacy, provide the option to hide their last name.

You can change your display name to include your last name, Edit your profile, and modify the "Display name" field

I changed my display name to include first and last name (Preston Romney), yet it still shows only my first name when viewing my profile. It looks like in other places it shows the complete display name (this post for example)
