The WebSphere Commerce Worldwide Users Group had a great virtual meeting on Friday. Three speakers weighed in on WebSphere Commerce news:
- Vani Mittal, group owner for the WebSphere Commerce Worldwide Users Group, presented on the benefits of joining the WebSphere Commerce Worldwide Users Group and her future plans for the group
- Colleen Anderson, Team Lead, WebSphere Commerce Information Development, presented on the new feedback option in the Collaborative Information Center
- James Fong, Product Manager, WebSphere Commerce, presented on e-commerce developments for the holiday season in 2010 and trends that you can expect to see in early 2011
Presentations, notes, and a video recording of the meeting are all available on the group's page. There was an especially interesting Q&A session at the end of the meeting where James Fong covered hurdles that mobile commerce needs to overcome to become a major player with in-store and online buying. He also outlines what a business should consider before building a mobile application for their products.
