Hello WebSpherians!

Today, let's talk about your profile picture.  Why upload one? 

• It lets your colleagues know exactly to whom they are talking.
• The "C" in "GWC" stands for "Community"; adding a profile picture personalizes your account and adds to the community.
• You get 5 loyalty points for uploading a profile picture (more details on the loyalty program are to follow in the coming months).

Uploading your profile picture is easy and will only take a couple mintues of your time.  Go to your My GWC page by clicking on the My GWC link in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (you must be logged in to access your My GWC page).

In the Explore Member box on the left of your My GWC page, you'll see the Profile menu; click on it if it's not already open, and then click on the Change Profile Photo link in this menu.

To upload a new photo as your profile photo
When you click the Change Profile Photo link in the Profile menu, you will be taken to your photo gallery.  If you don't have a picture you would like to select as your profile photo, you will have to upload one from your computer.  Click the Upload Photo button, and then click the Browse for Files button.  A pop-up window will appear, and you can navigate to a photo you wish to use as your profile picture.  Once you have selected the photo, click the Open button in the pop-up window.  Back in your photo gallery, click on the Start Upload button.

Whe the file is done uploading to the site, you can name the picture or tag it with a category if you would like.  Click the Finished button when you are done. To assign the photo to be your profile picture, select it by clicking on it (a selected photo has a yellow background; an unselected photo has a gray background), and then click on the Select Photo button.

To use an existing photo as your profile photo
If you've already uploaded a picture you wish to use as your profile photo, then you can skip the upload instructions detailed above.  When you click the Change Profile Photo link in the Profile menu, you'll be taken to your photo gallery.  All you have to do is select the photo you wish to use (a selected photo has a yellow background; an unselected photo has a gray background), and click the Select Photo button.
