As a typical application evolves, the number of components it comprises and its component interdependencies increase. Furthermore, the Java EE packaging and deployment models promote the creation of self-contained applications. Consequently, over time applications become large and brittle and are no longer able to adapt to meet the changing needs of the business. Do these experiences sound familiar?  Graham Charters, Senior Technical Staff Member, Lead Architect for WebSphere OSGi Applications, IBM
Graham is an IBM Senior Technical Staff Member in the WebSphere Application Server development organization. He is the architect responsible for the WebSphere OSGi Applications support in WebSphere Application Server v8. He is also the IBM technical lead in the OSGi Alliance Enterprise Expert Group.
