IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance — Video Education Course
IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance along with WebSphere Application Server Hypervisor Edition provides deployment and management functions to deploy WebSphere application server environments in a fast and repeatable manner, significantly reducing the administrative and management requirements typically associated with these activities. Additionally, by leveraging virtualization and cloud computing principles, IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance provides the capability to efficiently use a shared resource pool—a private cloud—to reduce infrastructure costs.
This video, based on five online lectures and five online demonstrations, provides in-depth information about IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance and WebSphere Application Server Hypervisor Edition. It demonstrates how to: configure resources managed in the cloud; create virtual systems for deployment to the cloud; administer resources deployed to the cloud; and create a multiple image pattern and manage dynamic machines.
You will learn how IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance and WebSphere Application Server Hypervisor Edition address provisioning virtual systems into cloud environments. You will also learn the networking and storage requirements for implementing an ESX and Power VM cloud environment. The initial physical and firmware configurations for the appliance are covered as well. Information about how to configure cloud resources such as hypervisors and IP groups on the appliance is provided as well as how to create, deploy and monitor virtual systems created from predefined patterns. Additionally, you learn resource management procedures for both virtual systems and the IBM WebSphere CloudBurst Appliance.
