New Case Study: MVV Energie AG
MVV Energie AG is a diversified and progressive utility based in Mannheim, Germany. It sought to create an intelligent grid services platform that would serve as the foundation for a "marketplace" of smart grid services. In partnership with MVV Energie AG, IBM designed a framework for integrating devices and energy sources across the grid. This solution enables customers to extract real-time information from the grid and automatically apply rules that optimize consumption patterns to minimize their power costs. As a result, customers now have more sources of energy from which to choose, including---including renewable and local sources. The company also was able to lower its costs and offer more efficient power generation through reductions in peak energy consumption.

Webinar Replay: BEP & SOA in Action Event & Virtual Booth
Highly agile processes are the key to successfully navigating choppy economic waters and the rapidly changing global and economic landscape. A network that enables the right response at the right time can mean that critical edge over the competition. But the rigid, siloed environments at many companies form a barrier to timely action, while limited budgets mean fewer dollars to spend on a solution.
Business event processing (BEP) is a key technology for helping to transform insight into action by accessing rich information, applications and business events at the right time and in the right context to truly maximize the value of business interactions.
We invite you to listen to two featured sessions highlighting BEP and several customer success stories:
· Making SOA Better Through Continuous Analytics and Event Processing
· Smart Work in Government and Beyond: Maximizing the Value of Business Interactions with Business Event Processing
Then, explore our virtual booth to learn more about how to:
· Establish a dynamic business network, built on highly agile processes
· Combine business strategy, business process management and SOA connectivity and integration in a flexible business architecture
· Transform insight into action with business event processing
