UK WebSphere User Group's March 2009 Event
WebSphere Users flock to Bedfont for this year's winter event!
The successful independent UK WebSphere User Group held another ambitious event on March 3rd 2009 when well over 200 WebSphere users from around the UK converged on IBM's Bedfont Lakes Forum, in London.

This was the 24th meeting of the User Group and further enhanced its reputation as the foremost independent forum for WebSphere Users in the UK and beyond.

Several top international speakers supported the event with presentations and by answering questions from members. The WUG was delighted to welcome Rob High (IBM Fellow, SOA Foundation Chief Architect) making his first visit to the User Group and also Anita Rass Wan (RAD Product Manager, Toronto Lab). Weather conditions at Boston unfortunately prevented David Boloker (Distinguished Engineer, CTO, Emerging Internet Technologies) from attending but he has promised to come for the next WUG event in September. A strong lineup of speakers from the Hursley Laboratory and from IBM consultants, business partners and customers completed a diverse agenda with topics to interest everyone. Primeur to unveil new File Transfer Products at IMPACT 2009
At the IBM IMPACT 2009 conference in Las Vegas, Primeur will be unveiling their new products for File Transfer. In addition, the company will be partnering with IBM to show how its products can further extend the value of IBM's WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (WMQ). These new products will help companies to modernize their file transfer and achieve significant cost reductions when using a WMQ infrastructure for both messages and Secure Managed File Transfer.

This suite of products, called SPAZIO MFT/S Enterprise Suite, is based on SPAZIO, a technology Primeur has developed over the years, and it is made up of three product lines that can easily integrate with IBM solutions in a Service Oriented Architecture environment:
  • SPAZIO File Services Provider Suite: a complete solution, designed and built in order to meet all the requirements of file transfer, to make it both managed and secure, even in multi-protocol and multi-platform environments.
  • SPAZIO File Services Governance: a solution capable of providing End-to-End visibility of flow of files for all the most widely used File Transfer products.
  • SPAZIO File Services Security Suite:: an Enterprise class cryptographic solution for data security that uses standard and interoperable formats and algorithms.
