Moving to WAS 6.1? Plans to move to WAS 7.0? If so, are you ready for the application migration headaches?
Phurnace Software, an IBM Advanced Business Partner, can ease the pain of migrating between WebSphere releases. In the past, your custom deployment scripts would have to be substantially re-worked, or in the worst case, completely re-written when you migrated your applications to a newer version of WebSphere. No more. Phurnace Deliver™ automates the migration of your Java apps across WAS releases - and with no scripting whatsoever.
Phurnace Deliver™ provides comprehensive support for IT operations staff and developers during complex enterprise Java deployments and migrations to decrease errors, streamline deployments and avoid the downtime and outages that come with manual or script-based processes. The current user approach of paging through the console or building cumbersome scripts can be reduced or eliminated with Phurnace, therefore freeing up limited IT resources for more value-added tasks.
Phurnace has been adding customers across multiple vertical markets and has extended its automated deployment product line with platform support for IBM WebSphere®, Oracle WebLogic®, RedHat JBoss™ and IBM WebSphere® Portal. Phurnace now has direct integrations to IBM Rational® Build Forge®, HP Server Automation®, BMC BladeLogic®, and source code control systems such as IBM ClearCase®, SVN, and CVS.
Learn more about Phurnace and how you can simplify your IBM WAS migrations. Sign up for our next webinar, visit our booth at IMPACT 2009, or view any one of the on-demand webinars now available for replay.

NY/NJ WMQ and Application Integration User Group Meeting The last NY/NJ WMQ and Application Integration User Group seminar was held on January 13th 2009 at the ISO Building in Jersey City - many thanks to ISO for the generous donation of the facility for the past years! The CIO of ISO, Roy Nicolosi, gave an opening welcome. This is Roy's 7th year of sponsorship for this User Group meeting site. Without Roy's support, we would not be able to conduct a large event like this as a non profit User Group organization. This event's meals were sponsored by IBM DataPower, a firmware device for security and ESB that is the dominant player with its line of devices that provide wire-speed SOA integration capabilities. DataPower manager, Norm Hirsh, also donated many raffle prizes for the meeting attendees. Despite the current economic environment, the event was a huge success - over 160 users attended the meeting, showing the resilience of the WebSphere MQ and Application Integration community. This meeting was highlighted by the presentations of 4 top hotshots from IBM's WebSphere line of products, as well as an insightful presentation on MQ security from Prolifics.
