Webinar Invitation - Modernising and Reducing the Costs of File Transfer using IBM's new WMQ File Transfer Edition

You are invited to a webinar hosted by Primeur, a Premier IBM Business Partner, on how to modernise and reduce operational expenses for both internal and multi-enterprise file transfer.

IBM's new WebSphereMQ File Transfer Edition (WMQ FTE) will enable organisations already using WMQ as their messaging infrastructure to achieve economies of scale by also using their WMQ infrastructure for Managed File Transfer. WMQ FTE also brings File Transfer into an ESB/SOA environment.

This webinar will briefly discuss WMQ FTE and go on to show how Primeur's 20 years of expertise and complementary products can:
  • Cost effectively transition to WMQ FTE from FTP and expensive proprietary file transfer products
  • Reduce operational cost by adding Governance and SLA management to all file transfers regardless of protocol
  • Reduce risk by enabling End-to-End security for file transfers with WMQ FTE
  • Interface seamlessly between WMQ FTE and external partners using IP

Primeur's Spazio MFT/S, Orchestration Suite, and DataSecure for WMQ - already SOA enabled - have been re-engineered specifically to integrate with WMQ FTE and are at the heart of Primeur's added value and complementary offerings for WMQ FTE.

Date: Thursday, February 5, 2009
Time: 11.00am to 12.00pm EST
Presenters: Peter Sedgwick, Director of Primeur & Rino Ciliberti, Product Manager for Spazio MFT/S.

The latest regional meeting of WebSphere User Group (WUG) Italy took place in a beautiful Golf Club, in Padova, in the Nord/East part of Italy on October 24th.

More than 40 people, in the most part new to WUG Italy, actively participated and contributed to a meeting that was both very interesting and interactive.

The key themes discussed were: Security and DataPower, Security in the context of the WebSphere Process Server (with a much appreciated demo), Web 2.0 and Project Zero, plus an update on the IBM WebSphere Strategy and products, including a brief overview of the soon to be released IBM WMQ File Transfer Edition product.

At the end of the sessions WebSphere's 10th "birthday" was celebrated, with a WebSphere purple-colored cake!
