9:00AM WebSphere - Smarter Software for a Smarter Planet
IBM is bringing a new level of smartness to how the world works and how every person, business, organization, government and man-made system interacts— where each interaction represents a chance to do things better, more efficiently and productively. Smart Work emphasizes optimization and agility in taking a smarter, new and different approach. This topic provides an overview of how IBM’s WebSphere technology can be used to build smart work capabilities in your organization with the adoption of dynamic business processes, smarter collaboration, smart SOA and an agile business model. Workload Optimized Solutions are introduced with WAS and POWER7.
9:30AM Build on a Solid Foundation for Smarter Planet Solutions – WebSphere Application Server
IBM WebSphere Application Server is the most successful and maintains the largest market share of any application server. Why? Maybe it is because IBM WebSphere Application Server offers a family of solutions that spans from the small company to the most demanding enterprise environments in the world. This topic proves why WebSphere Application Server is not only the most robust solution from small to large businesses but also provides the lowest cost solution.
11:00AM Take Your Infrastructure to the Next Level of Agility and Cost Savings with a Dynamic Application Infrastructure
Today’s dynamic business environments and economic uncertainty mean organizations must work smarter to remain competitive and respond to changing customer demands. In order to achieve these goals, organizations need to ensure that critical applications that experience huge demand levels, require immediate response, or grow to massive scale – like online reservation, commerce, and financial trading systems – consistently deliver. In this section, we will look at some of the newest and most innovative technologies available such as virtualization, extreme scaling, cloud computing, and dynamic infrastructures that some of the most leading edge enterprises have implemented in order to scale their businesses to new levels of competitive advantage and maximized revenues.
1:15PM Respond Quickly to Changing Business Process Management Demands
When you define your enterprise's business processes, you know that change is inevitable. With WebSphere, you can define these processes so they can be changed with minimum cost and development effort. Come and see how you can use the Lombardi TeamWorks and BluePrint solutions as well as the WebSphere Process Server (BPM) to implement your business process in an agile manner that allow you to make quick changes as well as improve your processes and reduce costs.
2:30PM Smarter Planet Solutions Need Intelligent Connectivity
Application integration is the biggest challenge today for many enterprises. Building an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is probably the quickest and most cost-effective way to address this challenge. This module describes how an ESB or Message Broker (MB) solution coupled with WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) can be used with service-oriented architectures to provide robust communication, intelligent routing and sophisticated translation to dynamically transform services in an infrastructure.
3:30PM Accelerate Results – How to Get Started
This session will focus on how you can get started on a path to achieve positive results using the IBM solutions that you saw today. You don’t have to “rip and replace” what you have; you can gradually integrate just the solutions you need into your current process and begin to see the flexibility you can achieve. All of this is based on real customer experiences and it is all built on the leading best practice solutions in the market. This session will outline how to get started and what tools, self help aides and services are available to help you move to a higher level of success in your business.
